PROVIN

VIN check before you buy a car

A VIN is the 17-character factory identifier. It lets us pull registries, service history and contradictions in the advert. PROVIN does not stop at a raw printout: we compare sources and say what that means for this car.

What is a VIN check?

A VIN check is a car history check by identification number: mileage, accidents, theft, registry records and, when available, official dealer service history. That is not the same as one database PDF. Sources only overlap in part, and listing photos often say more than a table row.

Why one car history report is not enough

A standard report shows what was entered into a system. Sellers know that and often pick cars with a thin digital trail. So beside the VIN check, PROVIN reads the listing and the weak points of that model. If you have a listing link, add it to the order.

How a check works at PROVIN

Enter the VIN or plate on the home page, choose MINI or AUDITS, and add the listing if you have it. MINI fits a car already used in Latvia. AUDITS is the deeper check for an import: international databases, dealer systems and auction archives when they exist. Results usually arrive in 24-72h, with a short call after the report.
